Association Goals

The International Association of Tax Auditors is a professional association established to develop the institution of tax auditing and tax consulting, raise the quality of tax expertise, and build a sustainable system of trust between government, business, and the professional community.

The Association brings together tax auditors, tax consultants, accountants, lawyers, and specialists in tax and accounting IT solutions, united by the principles of professionalism, independence, transparency, and international cooperation.

Tasks of the Association

To achieve its objectives, the Association:

participates in improving tax legislation and law enforcement practices;
develops and promotes professional standards for tax auditing and consulting;
engages with government authorities, professional bodies, and public organizations;
participates in preparing expert opinions and proposals on draft regulatory legislation;
organizes professional events — conferences, forums, roundtables, and discussion panels;
carries out educational and analytical activities;
develops international and interregional cooperation;
supports the ongoing professional development and continuing education of Association members.

Association Governance Structure

General Meeting of Association Members

The supreme governing body that sets the Association's development strategy and approves key decisions and directions of activity.
Board of the Association

A collective governing body responsible for the overall management of the Association's activities, the formation of programs and projects, and overseeing the implementation of strategic goals.
Director of the Association

The executive body representing the Association in dealings with government bodies, international organizations, the professional community, and partners, and responsible for implementing the decisions of the Board.
Expert and Working Committees

Formed around key areas of activity — tax auditing, tax consulting, legislative initiatives, education, international cooperation, digitalization, and others — providing in-depth professional review and analysis of matters within the Association's areas of competence.

Membership

Individual entrepreneurs and legal entities registered in Kazakhstan — domestic and foreign — operating in auditing, accounting, consulting, law, or IT systems for accounting and taxation, with at least 3 years of experience, may become members. Admission is based on a written application and a decision by the Association's Board.
